Detached house in an elevated location, at Aubeterre, with infinity pool. A rare find!
What a wonderful surprise I had when I turned into the long drive and found this lovely detached property welcoming me in! The views are stunning, the situation idyllic, and the house is everything you could need. There is an infinity pool, four separate terraces and over 2 hectares of land. An added bonus is that it can be two dwellings, which offers endless opportunities.
The top part of the house has two bedrooms, both with their own en-suites. There is a large open plan living/dining room, with doors out to the large terrace and infinity pool. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a laundry room leading off of it with an office area.
The downstairs part has two bedrooms, shower room, a kitchen/dining room and a large living area. There are patio doors leading out to a number of terraces which surround the house.
The whole property is double glazed, has electric heating plus wood-burners in both parts. The nice thing about this house is that it is very light and spacious and the views surrounding it can be enjoyed from most of the windows.
The infinity pool is situated on the large outside terrace, where there is also a fire pit for those cooler winter evenings making this an area which can be enjoyed all year round. There is also a covered terrace for table tennis or for a large dinner party etc. great for both kids and adults.
The property sits on over 2 hectares and would be ideal for anyone with horses. There is a large workshop and garage area with a covered wood store. The mature garden is mainly lawn but there are some lovely trees which provide nice shaded areas, and some flower beds around the house.
Situated just on the edge of Aubeterre sur Dronne, means that in less than 10 minutes walk you can be in the village enjoying the bars/restaurants but at the same time have the peace and tranquillity of being in the countryside. Living here would be like a dream come true; family and friends would be forever visiting and you would be really submerged in French outside living!
The house was built in the ’70’s and so is contemporary in style, it has a cosy feel about it and no sooner you step in you feel it feels like home. I suggest this is one not to be missed as it does offer everything.
